A Brief History

Paralia Katerinis was founded in 1922 by refugee fishermen from Kios in Asia Minor. Initially settled in Thessaloniki, they later moved to this area as it reminded them of their homeland.

On post-war maps, the village appeared as “Skala Vromeris,” while in 1950 it was renamed Paralia Katerinis and officially recognized in 1966.
